Dinner at Goldfish Tempus Two, Hunter Valley NSW

1) Blue tongue.

2) Five-spiced squids.

3) Tempura prawns.

Good food and ambience. Would come back. However, the temperature of
the food was lukewarm. Would be nice if they came out hot. Still,
would recommend this place! 8/10.

Lunch at The Cowrie, 109 Scenic Highway,Terrigal,NSW,2260

1) Gulf Prawns in Crisp Golden Noodles – Chilli Lime Caramel. Perfect! Love it. 9/10.

2) Tasmanian Cape Grim Beef with Thyme Roasted Vegetables
Eschallot and Horseradish Jus GF. Was really good too! 8.5/10.

3) Paris mash. Yums! 9/10.

4) Fish of the day - grilled sword fish with seared scallops and puréed beet root. 8/10.

5) White Individual Chocolate Cake Sour Cream Ice cream and Hot Chocolate Sauce. 9/10!

1) NZ Grilled Hoki with salad greens, pesto and corn. 8/10. Fish was
very fresh!!

2) Battered NZ Hoki with hand cut chips and tartare sauce. 8/10.

Lunch at The Fine Food Store and Cafe, Shop 9, The Rocks Centre, The Rocks, 2000

1) Cajun Chicken Filo. 7/10.

2) Quiche Lorraine. 7.5/10.

Very healthy-tasting...

1) Spicy fried rice with chicken. Very fragrant and chicken pieces
were tender and juicy. Liked it. 7.5/10.

2) BBQ chicken. Was average. 6.5/10.

Friendly service.

Lunch at Ampang Tofu, 13 Village Ave Doncaster

1) Nasi Lemak. J says it's very good! 8/10.

2) Yong Tofu Laksa. This is what they are popular for! The soup isn't
too Lemak which is what I like. 8/10!

Even though their food is great, I must minus points for their bad and
impatient service!

1) Strawberry tart. Heaven. 8/10.

2) Christine. Bought for colleague's bday so, no ratings!!

Lunch at Tom Phat, 184 Sydney Rd Brunswick

1) Claypot red curry with rice, tofu and pumpkin. Nice! 7.5/10.

2) Curry noodle with chicken and snakebeans. J finds it average and
gave it 6.5/10. Noodles were a little overcooked.

Good service and ambience, but wouldn't call it authentic Thai food.
More fusion type.

1) Kimchi ramen.

2) Seafood gyoza ramen.

Both very average. Had better ramen. 6/10.

Lunch at Hooked, 384 Brunswick St, Fitzroy

1) Battered Blue Grenadier with hand-cut chips and tartar sauce. Love
their hand-cut chips! 8/10.

2) Grilled blue grenadier with salad and basil salsa verde. Everything
was fresh! Love it. 8/10.

Voted healthiest fish and chips by The Age? Indeed!

Brunch at Corner Cafe, 62-64 Woodland St, Strathmore

1) Field mushrooms.

2) Chicken schnitzel open sandwich. Love it except that the toast was
really hard. Couldn't cut with my knife and couldn't quite bite off
with my teeth either! Would be perfect if the toast was not overly
hard. Still very tasty though! 7.5/10.

1) Fried bean curd with vegetables. A little oily but quite tasty. 7.5/10.

Two thumbs up for both green curry and pad Thai! Great service and
ambience. Will revisit! 9.5/10!

Lunch at Chillipadi Mamak Kopitiam, 295 Racecourse Rd,Kensington

Very average food here. Not all that authentic. We didn't want to come
back here but hunger took the better of us! 6/10 for both curry Laksa
and chicken rice. The curry Laksa looked big but very little noodles
in there.

Dessert from the French Lettuce, 237 Nicholson St, Carlton

Vanilla Slice. Voted best in Melbourne by TheAge. Did not disappoint!
Could be a little sweeter but very good nonetheless! 8.5/10.

Lunch at Trippy Taco, 48 Smith St, Collingwood

1) Sweet corn tamale. Love it! 9/10.

2) Original trippy taco (corn tortillas topped with cheese, black
beans, salad, salsa, avocado). Not their fault that I didn't like it.
The cheese just didn't suit my palate. J rated 7/10.

3) Breakfast quesadilla (tortilla filled with scrambled eggs, melted
cheese and salsa). 8/10. Nice!

Pintxos assortment (we took about 9 of them but only took one pic).
Liked most of them except a couple with goat cheese on it. Wasn't
their fault. I just didn't like goat cheese. Would visit again!
Friendly service! 7.5/10.

Dinner at Chai Eat Like Malaysian, 127 Pelham St, Carlton

1) Pan Mee. Fresh noodles but soup not authentic. 7/10.

2) Char Siew Wanton Tossed Noodles. Not bad but quite small portion
for that price. 7/10.

1) Pad Keeown (fried rice with green curry paste and prawns). Pretty
good! 7.5/10. Would recommend!

2) Som Tum Talay (papaya salad). Quite average. 6/10.

3) Pad Grapow. Surprisingly good. Came with fried rice instead of the
normal steam rice. 8/10.

1) Hotplate tofu with minced chicken. 8/10.

2) Assam fish. Delicious but small portion for that price. 7.5/10.

Lunch at Liar Liar, 90 Kinkora Rd Hawthorn

1) Potato rosti with smoked salmon, eggs and avocado. 9/10!

2) Brownie cheesecake. Moist and yums! 8.5/10.
