Lunch at I Spicy 2, 80 Victoria St,Richmond,VIC,3121

1) Crispy chicken with Chinese broccoli on rice. 7/10.

2) Crispy chicken with green beans on rice. 7.5/10.

A little too spicy but I guess they don't call 'i spicy' for nothing!
Great taste though.

Dinner at 82 Lygon St,Brunswick East,VIC,3057

1) Chicken satay. Laden with salt and MSG. 5/10.

2) Pad Thai seafood. Again, too salty. Not authentic at all.

Service was bad. Ambience was worse! So noisy we couldn't hear ourselves!

Will not revisit.

Lunch at BigMamas, 466 swanston st,Melbourne,VIC,3053

1) Bibimbap. Love it. 8.5/10.

2) BBQ chicken bento. The smokey smell of the chicken sets it apart
from other bentos. Very nice. 8/10.

Brunch at Liar Liar, 90 Kinkora Rd Hawthorn

Big Fat Vege! Came with poached eggs on toast, spinach, mushrooms and
tomato relish. Loved it! 8/10.

Service was a little abrupt though.

Dinner at Killiney Kopitiam, 114 Lygon St Carlton

1) Sayur Lodeh with Rice. Nice! 8/10.

2) Nasi Lemak with fried fish. Rice not that authentic. Pretty average
unfortunately. 6.5/10. (Sambal Malaysia and Nasi Lemak House have
better Nasi Lemak than here).

Great service though! Waiter was very courteous!

2) Gra pow fried rice with omelette. Nice too. 7.5/10.

Dinner at Chin Chin, 125 Flinders Lane, CBD

1) Son in law eggs with chilli jam. Love it. 8/10.

2) Bang Bang Chicken with green beans & peanut, chilli and gapi relish. 7.5/10.

3) Cripsy barramundi and green apple salad with caramelised pork,
chilli and lemongrass. Loved the caramelised pork but the barramundi
was EXTREMELY salty!! Would give 8/10 for the pork but 5/10 for the
fish.

Lunch at Andy's Yum Cha House, 13 Napier St,Essendon,VIC,3040

1) Chinese broccoli (nice but the oyster sauce was really salty). 6.5/10.

2) Prawn dumplings (also nice but the skin was too thick). 6.5/10.

3) Fried turnip cake (extremely salty! Would not recommend). 5/10.

4) BBQ pork buns. 7/10.

But happy that everything came out pipping hot! Service was so-so.

Good service too! :)

Lunch at Chai Eat Like Malaysian, 127 Pelham St Carlton

2nd time here and still pleased with food. Service was average and

Brunch at Friends of Mine, 506 Swan St Richmond

1) S had the "pick me up" bricho roll.

2) Toast with smashed avocado, thyme buttered mushrooms, poached eggs and feta cheese. Love it! 9/10.

3) Can't remember what tart this was. S ordered that as well.

Overall, happy with friends of mine. However, service-wise, could definitely see an improvement. Didn't like how the waitress just cleared our plates without even asking if we were done.

Lunch at Din Tai Fung, 644 George St, Sydney CBD

1) Green beans with minced meat. A little too salty for my liking. 6/10.

2) Dan Dan noodles. The noodles were all right but the sauce tasted
like curry mixed with peanut sauce. Kinda weird to the palate. 6/10.

3) Xiao Long Bao. These were probably the best dish among the lot we
ordered. The skin were thin and the meat were tasty. Better than the
Hutong's Xiao long baos in my opinion. 8/10.

4) The prawn and pork santons were too bad. 7/10.

5) The pork bun was really disappointing. Didn't taste anything like
it. Also, the flour was too thick. 5/10.

6) J liked the black sesame bun which I thought was pretty good, but
it took a long time to arrive! Still, would give it 7.5/10.

Overall, I feel Din Tai Fung was a little overrated. Service was
attentive , ambience was good, but food was a little overrated.
