Dinner at Rak Thai

Love the fried barramundi with spicy Thai herbs. Full of flavour. 7.5/10.

Thai green curry with prawns. It's quite spicy which suits my taste. 7.5/10.

The first batch of rice was quite cold but the second batch came out fresh.

Lunch at Zen Jap Restaurant

Love it! Had the tempura bento, and it was really good! Rice was soft
and fragrant, and the tempura didn't have the 'bad oil' taste like
some of the Jap places have. Will recommend! 8/10.

Dinner at Don Don (Swanston St branch)

Love Don Don as always. Food was quick and tasty and cheap! We had the
teriyaki chicken with rice and curry don with chicken. Excellent
choices! 8/10.

Brunch at Pancake Parlour (Highpoint branch)

Had the blueberries pancakes which I thought were a little soggy. And
the blueberries weren't fresh. Had diarrhea after that. :(

The rest of the pancakes looked good though. My companions seem to
enjoy them and didn't have any problems afterwards.

Dinner at Carino Tapas Bar, 492-494 Mt Alexander Rd Ascot Vale

1) Calamare Fritos - fantastic! 7.5/10.

2) Setas al Agillo - J thinks it's better than Movida's cos flavour
not as overpowering? 7.5/10.

3) Sourdough bread with olive oil and balsamic vinegar. Unfortunately,
bread not as fresh, and quite cold. 5/10.

4) Tortilla de Patata - my fav of the lot! 8.5/10.

5) Pinchos Murunos - J's fav. Beef was juicy and tender! 8/10.

Coffee at Lil Kitch

The flat white was not bad but the New York baked cheese cake tasted like overnight cake. It was rock hard with questionable texture. Service was abrupt and not the friendliest.

Coffee - 7.5/10
Cake - 5/10

Lunch at Han Guuk Guan

The bimbibak was nice but temperature was lukewarm. The combination beef in stone pot was piping hot though. Service was fantastic - they mixed up our orders, and the chef actually came out to apologize!

Dinner at Thai on Street

Food was nice enough but not quite authentic. Tom yum soup wasn't spicy at all but the seafood were fresh. Jasmine rice was soft and fragrant. The BBQ chicken were juicy and tender. Ambience-wise, the place was deafening. If you are after a nice conversation, forget about it. Can't hardly hear each other! Service was polite. Was compensated with a bowl of crackers for the wait! Haha.

Lunch at Straits Cafe

The char kway teow was good but it came out super spicy even though we
ordered 'medium chili'. So make sure you order 'mild' if you can't
take too much spice. Malaymas still has better char kway teow though.

The Penang Har Mee was a little bland but not bad. 6.5/10

Brunch at Cafe Luis

Love their French Toast! The bacon rashes were so crispy! 8.5/10!

Dinner at Chi Chi. 403 Keilor Rd Niddrie

1) Beef ball Pho - did not like it due to the extremely strong beef smell. 4/10.

2) Bun - quite fresh tasting but very bland. 5/10.

Will not revisit.
