Dinner at Ipondo (Part 2)

We thought the iPad ordering system was quite cool. The Tan Tan
noodles were pretty good too (better than Ajisen's). However, the ice
cream tasted very "commercial". Prob mass-produced in factories?

Had to minus points for the disposable cutleries. Very flimsy!

Dinner at Ipondo (Part 1)

The gyozas were below average. Very doughy and substandard. However,
the ebi fried prawns were pretty palatable. Miso tasted quite good
without too much of that MSG. We enjoyed the takoyaki (octopus balls)
as well.

However, service was a little nonplussed. The waiting staff seemed a
little inexperienced.

But overall experience at the restaurant wasn't too bad. Would still
recommend if you are not fussed about the authenticity of Jap food!

Brunch at Menka's Cafe

Had the Canadian French Toast, and thought it was nice enough (nowhere
near as good as Cafe Luis' though).

Service was a little cold and, at times, rude. Waitress didn't seem
too happy to serve us for some reason.

Brunch at The Hardware Societe

We had the baked eggs and the scrambled eggs with prawns and zucchini.
Love it! J thought the coffee was one of the best in Melb? I had the
cold-pressed Tasmanian apple juice. Nice!

Only thing is, they don't take bookings. First come first serve basis.
We were lucky to have waited 15 mins only for our table!

Will recommend this place. :)

Dinner at Tookaiya Jap

Had the Ten Don and Katsu Don. Quite average but J thought the ten don
was quite decent. However, he had bad stomach cramps immediately
after. Service was quite abrupt and rushed too. Will prob not
recommend.

Lunch at Tahbilk Cafe

Had the pork belly with seared scallops and cauliflower purée. The
pork was ladened with fat but the rest made up for the entree.

The flathead with garden salad and fries were pretty average. But will
still recommend this place for its great service and nice ambience!

Dinner at Thai Coconut Restaurant

The spring rolls were tasty and crunchy (but they were cooked from
frozen?). Still, very tasty!

The Pad Thai was quite authentic. What I liked was the spiciness that
came with. Many restaurants don't serve pad Thai this hot! I love it
though. And plenty of tiger prawns to make this dish quite a hit!
7.5/10.

Lunch at Bank St Wood Fired Pizza

Had the Wally pizza as recommended by the waitress. Apparently, it's
the hot fav among her customers. Did not disappoint!

Love the ambience. Toilets were so nice and clean!

Lunch at The Village Larder, 81 High St Woodend

Love this place! Friend recommended the golden syrup dumplings and
they were so yum!

Love the western plains pork and the veg burger too!

Lunch at Rasa Malaya

1) Curry laksa. 7.5/10.

2) The roast chicken was surprisingly delish! The skin was crispy and
the meat was soft and tender. 8/10!

Dinner at One Thai

1) Pandan chicken. 7.5/10

2) Panang curry prawn. 7.5/10.

Dinner at The Station Family Bistro

1) Chicken Parma - pretty average. Could be more tender. 6.5/10.

2) Salt and pepper calamari. Not bad. Like that it came out hot
(temperature-wise). 7/10.
