1) Kimchi ramen.

2) Seafood gyoza ramen.

Both very average. Had better ramen. 6/10.

Lunch at Jyu Jyu, 339 Clayton Rd, Clayton

1) Jyu Jyu meal box (comprises gyoza, teriyaki chicken with Japanese
rice). Portion a tad small but for that price ($8), it's pretty
reasonable.

2) Takoyaki (octopus balls). Slightly doughy. Didn't really like it. 6/10.

3) Sukiyaki don. 8/10.

Dinner at Meiji Jap Cafe, 105 Little Bourke St

1) Hakone sushi. Not impressed. Too dry and some were not wrapped
properly. 5.5/10.

2) J had the Tori Kamameshi. Very mediocre apparently. Too salty. 5/10.

Dinner at Ocha, 3 Church St, Hawthorn

Soba. 6.5/10.

Gyoza. Not bad but too salty! 7/10.

Scallop with Japanese hollandaise sauce. Again, too salty. 7/10.

Spicy calamari salad. I don't know why it's called 'spicy' as we couldn't taste any spice at all. 6.5/10.

Grilled eggplant with miso. Nice but super salty! 6.5/10.

Mirin chicken with salad. This was probably the worst dish. 5/10.

Overall, this place was really overrated. Good food guide gave it 15/20! I reckon it should be 12/20.

Dinner at Broadmeadows Shopping Centre Food Court

The sushi and miso soup were acceptable, but the fried chicken ramen
was a disaster. The chicken were so salty, and the soup reeked of MSG.

Will not reorder the ramen.

Lunch at Don Tojo, 164 Cardigan St Carlton

Sashi Don, $8.90, Cheap and nice! Sashimi was very fresh (although the
veg were slightly too bitter for my taste). 8/10. :)

The Soba Salad with buckwheat noodles were a bit sour. 7/10.

The Chicken Curry Rice was pretty good. 8/10.

Value for money and fast service! :)

Korean BBQ spicy chicken with rice. Nice enough but has "chicken
smell" which I didn't like.

6.5/10.

Ebi Fried Curry Bento. One of Joe's fav. 8/10.

Salmon Bento (salmon with salad, fried tofu, gyoza, pickled bean shoots and Japanese rice). 7/10.
