2) Crispy chicken with green beans on rice. 7.5/10.
A little too spicy but I guess they don't call 'i spicy' for nothing!
Great taste though.
An index of food places in Melbourne, Australia for future references! And a collection of my DH's cooking! (Pardon my poorly taken pictures by my iPhone).
2) Crispy chicken with green beans on rice. 7.5/10.
A little too spicy but I guess they don't call 'i spicy' for nothing!
Great taste though.
2) Pad Thai seafood. Again, too salty. Not authentic at all.
Service was bad. Ambience was worse! So noisy we couldn't hear ourselves!
Will not revisit.
2) BBQ chicken bento. The smokey smell of the chicken sets it apart
from other bentos. Very nice. 8/10.
Service was a little abrupt though.
2) Nasi Lemak with fried fish. Rice not that authentic. Pretty average
unfortunately. 6.5/10. (Sambal Malaysia and Nasi Lemak House have
better Nasi Lemak than here).
Great service though! Waiter was very courteous!
2) Gra pow fried rice with omelette. Nice too. 7.5/10.
2) Bang Bang Chicken with green beans & peanut, chilli and gapi relish. 7.5/10.
3) Cripsy barramundi and green apple salad with caramelised pork,
chilli and lemongrass. Loved the caramelised pork but the barramundi
was EXTREMELY salty!! Would give 8/10 for the pork but 5/10 for the
fish.
2) Prawn dumplings (also nice but the skin was too thick). 6.5/10.
3) Fried turnip cake (extremely salty! Would not recommend). 5/10.
4) BBQ pork buns. 7/10.
But happy that everything came out pipping hot! Service was so-so.
2) Hainanese Chicken Ipoh Hor Fun. 7.5/10.
Good service too! :)
1) Yu Pian Mee Fen
2) Curry Laksa
2) Dan Dan noodles. The noodles were all right but the sauce tasted
like curry mixed with peanut sauce. Kinda weird to the palate. 6/10.
3) Xiao Long Bao. These were probably the best dish among the lot we
ordered. The skin were thin and the meat were tasty. Better than the
Hutong's Xiao long baos in my opinion. 8/10.
4) The prawn and pork santons were too bad. 7/10.
5) The pork bun was really disappointing. Didn't taste anything like
it. Also, the flour was too thick. 5/10.
6) J liked the black sesame bun which I thought was pretty good, but
it took a long time to arrive! Still, would give it 7.5/10.
Overall, I feel Din Tai Fung was a little overrated. Service was
attentive , ambience was good, but food was a little overrated.
